'The Ladder' construction piece

This is a "construction" or "construct" piece made up of 4 primary parts.

The ladder is made of wood.

The base is made of fiberglass and metal.

The portraits are "cutout" or "outline" paintings done in oil on plywood that has been reinforced with metal.

There is no background.
The "construction" or "construct" piece combines "outline" or "cutout" portraits (see cutout portraits) with scenery constructed from mixed media.

There is no background.

The  outline portraits are painted in oil on plywood that has been reinforced with metal to control warping..

The overall dimensions are 19" wide x 64" high (at maximum)

The wood for the "Cutout" portraits is 1/2" thick plywood supported in back by a metal framework designed to prevent the wood from warping.  The edges of the plywood have been rounded and shaped.

There is "picture wire" in back of the painting and the painting hangs on the wall by the usual "nail-in-the-wall" method.

This piece weighs approximately 35 pounds.
19" wide x 64" high (at maximum)
